Meet Melissa of Beelightful Bees, Patch’s beekeeper.
A Miami beekeeper for the past six years, Melissa began her journey with bees as a hobby during a difficult chapter in life—what started as a source of healing quickly grew into a deep passion and lifelong calling.
After learning how to safely perform live hive removals, that passion blossomed into a full-time business: Beelightful Bees. Today, they specialize in rescuing local honey bees from extermination while educating homeowners and communities about the vital role pollinators play in our ecosystems.
Through workshops and hands-on experiences at Patch, Melissa teaches individuals and families a natural, mindful approach to beekeeping rooted in respect, conservation, and connection with nature. Their genuine bond with bees shines through in every aspect of their work, inspiring others to better understand and protect these remarkable creatures.
Melissa will guide us through the inner workings of the hive, share her passion for regenerative beekeeping, and offer insights into the sacred intelligence of bees and their essential role in sustaining life.
